Job Summary

NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK *** Applications Due by 10/10/25**********Skills USA coaches will work collaboratively with the Skills USA advisor and Career and Technical Education Director to increase awareness provide support and offer opportunities for students (and staff) to participate in Skills USA. Coaches will recruit and mentor students for Skills USA and will meet with students after school at least twice a month starting in December to prepare them for upcoming events and competitions. All coaches are required to serve as chaperones at the Skills USA State Competition in Marlboro MA (from April 30-May including overnight). Any staff member can apply to be a coach; one coach will be assigned to each pathway. The stipend for coaches will be $ that have a students from their assigned pathway that has qualified for Nationals are required to serve as chaperones at the Skills USA National Competition in Atlanta GA (from June 1-6- including overnights) for an additional $ Responsibilities:Recruit students to participate in Skills USA Attend and chaperone trips for Skills USA including but not limited to Nationals States and Leadership ConferencesOffer coaching sessions for Skills USA students at least twice a monthMentor SkillsUSA Leadership team members as well as contest and conference participantsAssist with student coordination for tripsAssist in the set up and execution of Skills USA qualifying assessmentsOther duties as assigned by the Career and Technical Education DirectorQUALIFICATIONS FOR THE -motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a in developing and providing training opportunities for students staff and to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the to coordinate trips conferences and networking OF EMPLOYMENTEquipment Used: Copier SMART board computer phone. Physical Demands: Ability to move about and be on your feet for long periods of time. At times you may be asked to move light articles for travel or competition Schedule: N/A
