SlingerLabourer

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Slinger/Labourer to join our dynamic manufacturing team at our site in Dunfermline.

This hands-on role is vital to supporting daily operations ensuring materials are moved efficiently and safely across site and assisting with general labouring duties. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced industrial setting a strong awareness of health and safety protocols and a proactive approach to teamwork and productivity.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for all lifting equipment on site ensuring any defects are dealt with and register is maintained.
• Responsibility for loading and unloading of vehicles in a safe manner and in accordance with lift plans.
• Take the lead in ensuring lift plans are in place for all complex lifts.
• Working with the engineering team providing the necessary information for creation of lift plans.
• Providing guidance to workshop employees whilst doing heavy and complex lifts.
• General labouring and housekeeping activities.
• Waste management including the emptying of swarf skips etc.

• A keen learner and self-motivated
• Ability to understand the importance of good work ethic
• Good interpersonal communication Numeracy and IT skills
• An aptitude for problem solving
• Ability to work as a team member in a busy environment

Qualifications and experience

• Valid recognised qualification in advanced lifting & Slinging
• Valid counterbalance Forklift license (5 Ton)
• Working at height training would be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years work experience in a heavy engineering environment undertaking complex lifts
• Valid EU Passport or other current permission to work in the UK
