General Labourer (On-Call)

ATCO Frontec is seeking a casual on-call General Labourer to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Calgary AB. The Labourer is responsible for assisting the tradespersons with preventative maintenance and inspection tasks.

Where We Work and Live:

ATCO Frontec provides preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Alberta. Our maintenance teams are mobile and travel will be required in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide input into the preventive maintenance plan;
• Assist with various project tasks (carpentry plumbing electrical drywalling warehouse support etc.)
• Assist the tradespersons with inspections and general maintenance tasks
• Complete regular maintenance checks on equipment;
• Propose alternative solutions to mitigate delays;
• Organize supplies and handle pick-up and drop-off logistics;
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of experience in general trades; experience in electrical construction or maintenance would be considered a strong asset.
• Power Engineering Certificate is considered a strong asset.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required.
• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test Fit-to-Work Test and Extensive Background Check.
• Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.
• Good mechanical skills and understanding of building components and equipment.
• Good communication customer service and teamwork skills.
