WHAT YOULL DO

As part of the Safety & Security team youll play a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment across the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and all Penske Entertainment properties. From securing gates and patrolling facilities to assisting guests and responding to incidents your work helps ensure that every event from daily operations to the Indy 500 runs smoothly and safely.

Youll monitor buildings and grounds identify potential safety concerns and support law enforcement and emergency response teams as this role your attention to detail professionalism and calm presence directly contribute to the exceptional experience that defines Penske Entertainment events and venues.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol and monitor Penske Entertainment properties to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees guests and assets.
• Inspect gates buildings and grounds to identify and address potential safety or security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms incidents and emergencies ensuring quick resolution and clear communication.
• Enforce company policies and procedures with professionalism providing direction and support to guests and staff.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity and incident reports to support effective follow-up and documentation.
• Control facility access by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized personnel vendors and visitors.
• Partner with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed to manage safety incidents.
• Prevent unauthorized removal or damage to company property through proactive monitoring and presence.
• Deliver outstanding service to partners guests and colleagues

Required Experience & Skills:

• Prior security public safety or related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• High integrity professionalism and commitment to excellent customer service
• Ability to recognize and respond quickly to safety and security concerns.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed. Consistency and reliability are key factors to be successful in this position.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Leadership:

• This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities

FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL

• Part-time position: hours and shifts vary based on event schedules and operational needs.
• Includes rotating evening and overnight shifts; weekend and holiday availability required.
• Flexibility is essential during the Month of May and other major racing events.
• No travel required.
• Our teams work together to create flexibility that supports life in and out of work

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to walk stand and sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move items as needed in a security environment.
• Vision and hearing must be within normal range (with or without correction).
• Must be able to work long hours in varying weather conditions including extreme heat cold rain and dust.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is primarily outdoors and may include exposure to loud noise levels during racing events.
• Frequent interaction with guests employees and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
• May experience interruptions and shifting priorities throughout shifts.
