About this role:
TheBannerisseekinga highly motivated organizedandtech-savvyproduct leader with apassion for local newstohelpdrivecontentengagementevolve newsroom toolsanddriveoperational efficiency.TheSeniorProduct Manager will manage and quickly interpret business and customer needsandpartner with product design and engineering tolaunchcompelling solutions. Reporting to theSVPof Productyoullwork with editorial marketing audienceanalyticsand business development teams toidentifyand prioritizeproduct needs for The Banner.A goal-oriented mindsetenergy for problem solving andbias for action are essential for success in this role. Bonus points if you havedemonstratedexperience in digital news working witheditorial productsand building responsive web and mobile appproducts(Android and iOS).
What youll do:
- Define and shape the product roadmapto solve critical problems to drive efficiency and growth
- Lead projects through product discovery research experimentation usability testing and the launch of iterative product improvements
- Champion user needs pain points and business opportunities across the organizationto develop high-functioning features and products.
- Work collaboratively to craft and execute on a strong product vision and sharing the progress through written and verbal communication across all levels of leadership
- Manage the rolloutof new products ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on priorities and timelines and track their adoption and impact.
- Constantly seek out opportunities to increase personal and team efficiency and effectiveness in a dynamic environment
What youll bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in product management as a discipline; bonus points for experience in digital media and news.
- A proventrack recordof driving ideas from concept to execution with increasing complexity.
- Experiencewritingtechnical reports and documentation and/orbackground in software engineering
- Systems troubleshooting bug identification test plan execution and documentation related to system baselines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicatea creative vision concepts ideas and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders and internal teams.
- Power to influence others and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
- A degree in a relevant academic visual or experiential designjournalismor domain expertise / equivalent professional experience.
Salary Range: $110000 - $135000. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations. This role is not eligible for corporate bonus opportunity. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equitable across the board.
