Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop a basic understanding of internal audit by learning:
The functions purpose and Truists audit process.
Risk management risk monitoring and internal controls.
About Truists business units and their purposes.
Work under the direction of a TAS teammate to perform assigned audit and advisory work.
Welcome and receive ongoing performance coaching and feedback to develop professional skills.
Learn and utilize technology-based audit tools to complete assignments.
Participate in all assigned training/development opportunities and meetings to build business acumen and learn about banking and financial services processes and auditing objectives.
Network with leaders and teammates to form lasting professional connections.

Scheduled graduation of your final degree by December 2026 June 2028
Working toward the completion of a bachelors or advanced degree in accounting mathematics business risk management or related field or equivalent education and related training at an accredited college or university.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Solid decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills in hybrid and in-person settings
Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
Proven curiosity and desire for ongoing learning and development opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
Interested in pursuing a career in internal audit and/or financial services
Experience in customer- or client-facing positions
Familiarity with manipulating data and data storytelling
Demonstrated leadership experience
Previous coursework in internal audit risk management or related topics
The starting hourly wage for this position is $30.00.
