Job Summary

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at (1) of their properties in Mount Prospect IL (60056). The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance have experience with unit turns have knowledge of basic maintenance be self-motivated be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. HVAC experience/certification is required. CPO experience is required; certification is preferred. Experience with Entrata is highly preferred. This role is contract to hire 30-90 days in length before conversion.

This role will be working with (1) community that 222 unit built 1965 market rate property with excellent amenities.

Salary: $24-$26/hour DOQ - This role is contract to hire 30-90 days in length before conversion.

Schedule: Monday Friday 830am 5pm must be available for apartment turns and on-call after conversion.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

Preventative building maintenance
Maintain the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up shoveling and sweeping curb/dumpster area maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
Responding to daily work orders
Preparation and/or completion of apartment or unit turns

Install repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
Installation and minor repairs of appliances (e.g. washer dryer refrigerator stove microwave dishwashers etc.).
Troubleshoot maintenance issues diagnose problems replace and/or repair parts test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets snake drains clear slow draining tubs adjust/replace door closure remove/replace caulking and replace locks deadbolts and passage locks.
Complete basic plumbing work orders such as repair leaking faucets replace faucets and replace different components of toilets such as flapper toilet handle and ballcocks.
Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

2 years experience in residential maintenance.
Be able to pass a background check before employment.
Experience with CPO is required certifications are preferred.
HVAC experience/certification is required.
Experience with Entrata is highly preferred.
Have a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
