Position Objective:
The Redwood Camp (RWC) Health Lead Technician assists with and reports to the Conference Center (CC) all health needs of RWC campers and staff in a manner consistent with Mount Hermons mission vision and values.
General Qualifications:

Key Job Accountabilities:
- Guide encourage and direct the RWC Healthcare Technicians as directed by the CC Health Supervisor Healthcare Services Administrator (HS) and/or Redwood Camp Program Director.
- Coordinate and participate in stocking the RWC Healthcare Center.
- Under the direction of the Healthcare Services Administrator or CC Health Supervisor facilitate technician team process in storing handling and dosing medication in compliance with MHAs Medication Policy and Procedures.
- Assist with transporting campers or staff to urgent care or hospital using MHAs 2 Person Policy.
- Report to CC Health Supervisor all campers requiring transport to offsite healthcare providers.
- Access Circuitree-Health history/emergency contact form parent/guardian consent and Medication Administration Record as needed.
- Report daily activities to CC Health Supervisor and or Healthcare Services Administrator.
- Ensure Technician team checks / documents AEDs weekly.
- Document each campers or parents clinical encounters in Circuitree and MHA staff in Camp Health Log.
- Carry First Aid back pack (Epi-pens and Benadryl) on Beach Day and connects as needed with CC Health Supervisor.
- Participate in Health Screening of Campers and Staff as needed.
- With CC Health Supervisor or Healthcare Administrators support locate complete and distribute: Workers Compensation Packet (DWC-1) Employee or Volunteer Incident Report Campers insurance forms ensuring Human Resources has all appropriate paperwork within 24hrs. Perform any other duties as assigned by CC Health Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by the CC Health Supervisor Healthcare Administrator.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- High school graduate.
- Some college preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED which includes care of infant child and adult.
- College or university course work in preventative health practice pharmacology anatomy and physiology are preferred.
Work Experience:
- Preferred experience (work or volunteer) working in health services environment.
- Previous HT work experience with MHA preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work with and lead a team with good judgment and decision making abilities.
- Must be punctual and responsible individual.
- Must exhibit great interpersonal skills with people of all ages.
- Must be observant and attentive.
- Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers as well as camp guidelines and principles.
- Ability to engage in active listening.
- Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.
- A heart to serve whenever needed.
- Ability to lead and teach with patience and clear instruction.
Physical Demands:
- The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions.
- Ability to see hear grasp and speak English.
- The employee is frequently required to run crouch stand sit for long periods and use steep trails and stairs.
Additional Requirements:
- Must agree to and comply with MHAs employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and personal vehicles for business purposes.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHAs Mission Vision Values and Commitment statements.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation or valid work permit as well as ability to provideproof of eligibility to work in the United States.
