A well-regarded independent day and boarding school in Oxford is seeking a talented and passionate Music Teacher to join their vibrant Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This full-time permanent role provides the chance to teach within a creative supportive and high-performing environment that values the arts as a central part of education.
The successful candidate will teach Music across KS3KS5 fostering a love of performance composition and musical theory. You will direct choirs ensembles or orchestras and have the opportunity to contribute to concerts productions and community performances. The role also involves supporting academic Music at GCSE and A Level and encouraging pupils to pursue instrumental excellence.
The Music Department enjoys purpose-built rehearsal spaces a recording studio and a performance hall with professional-grade acoustics. Experience and Qualifications
QTS/PGCE and degree in Music or related field
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Music desirable
Strong performance composition or conducting background
Enthusiasm for co-curricular and performance-based learning
