Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care (Night Shift)
Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Night 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2232 - $2412; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift contract position in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/PCU) at a reputable facility in Utica NY. The RN will provide high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments but who are not critical enough for the intensive care unit (ICU).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care/Intermediate Care setting.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Administer medications monitor vital signs and manage medical equipment.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Float to other units as needed within the RN scope.
- Accurately document care using EPIC EMR.
Required Qualifications:
- Active NY RN License (and all other active RN licenses).
- Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU experience.
- Proven travel nursing experience.
- Current certifications:
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support).
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
