Location: Utica NY 13502
Duration: 13 week
Shift: 12-hr. Days
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekly Pay: $2088 - $2232; (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Med Surg/Telemetry Float role at a reputable hospital in Utica NY. As a Float RN you will be required to work across multiple units within the Med Surg and Telemetry departments providing high-quality compassionate and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients on various Med Surg and Telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patients conditions vital signs and telemetry readings.
- Administer medications treatments and procedures per facility and physician protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop implement and evaluate care plans.
- Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively.
- Document all patient interactions medications and care provided using Epic EMR.
- Adapt quickly to different units patient populations and team dynamics.
- Maintain a safe clean and supportive environment for patients and staff.
- Comply with hospital policies procedures and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Active NY license Must be in hand Required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing Required
- BLS certification Required
- ACLS certification Required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification Required
- EMR: Experience with Epic required
- Must be comfortable floating between units as needed
- Excellent communication critical thinking and organizational skills
