Job Summary

WHO WE ARE: Client is a boutique full-service residential interior design firm located in North Beach. Although a small firm we have a heavy project load with each typically consisting of a remodel component in addition to furnishings. The firm is fast-paced which provides the opportunity to jump into projects and have a high level of responsibility from the get-go. Individuals who apply should have a positive go-getter attitude be passionate about design detail-oriented flexible and able to keep up with change a natural problem solver/solution seeker and love dogs as Winnie Shih Tzu is at the office often.

Seeking a senior designer/project manager who can be the busy principals right hand

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent AutoCAD skills- including drafting furniture plans detailed elevations custom cabinets and furniture Kitchens Bathrooms RCP plans & construction documents/sets
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities/competing priorities/projects with a high level of detail.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines with do-what-it-takes attitude
  • Clear communication skills with colleagues vendors and clients including the ability to correspond with excellent English grammar and spelling
  • Work closely with Principal to develop designs and client presentations
  • Maintain and grow thoughtful professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Problem solve and create solutions with colleagues and vendors in a clear and concise manner.
  • Manage and delegate to Design Assistants and Junior/Intermediate Designers

Qualifications/ Who you are:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in interior design handling high-end residential projects from star to finish
  • Skilled in AutoCAD Excel Google Drive and knowledge of Houzz Pro Preferred
  • Excellent verbal written and organizational skills
  • Ideally: Must have a valid drivers license and either own or have ready access to a car (Mileage is reimbursed).
  • Experience working closely with contractors and architects on remodels

Additional Notes: The preferred candidate should be able to work from the office full-time. Flexibility is valued at DBI and depending on the needs of the office schedules/meetings some remote work is allowed. A car is highly recommended!
