Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Linux systems Core Java and Apache Kafka to lead the design and optimization of network infrastructure supporting high-performance financial applications. This role is critical to ensuring secure scalable and compliant systems across our BFSI operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design implementation and maintenance of enterprise-grade network infrastructure tailored for BFSI workloads.

Architect and optimize Kafka-based messaging systems for real-time financial data streaming and processing.

Develop and maintain backend tools and automation scripts using Core Java and Linux shell scripting.

Ensure network and system compliance with BFSI regulatory standards (e.g. PCI-DSS SOX FFIEC).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity DevOps and application development to ensure seamless integration and secure deployments.

Drive performance tuning capacity planning and disaster recovery strategies for critical infrastructure.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership and best practices.

Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture configurations and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

7 years of experience in network engineering and Linux system administration preferably in BFSI or other regulated industries.

Advanced proficiency in Core Java development and backend systems integration.

Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Kafka including cluster setup tuning and monitoring.

Strong understanding of enterprise networking protocols and security (TCP/IP VPN firewalls routing).

Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker Kubernetes).

Proven track record of working in compliance-driven environments with high availability requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Kafka certification or equivalent hands-on expertise(.

Experience with financial transaction systems payment gateways or trading platforms.

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS Azure GCP) with BFSI-specific configurations.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform).

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence technical direction.
