Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end operations of a SOFOM in Mexico City. This includes managing the complete credit and loan lifecycle ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements supervising portfolio administration and overseeing systems such as SAP or Quanto.

The role requires building standardized processes (SOPs) implementing strong internal controls and developing operational KPIs to drive efficiency and improve customer service. Additionally the Operations Manager will supervise and mentor multidisciplinary teams across credit collections IT and administration while maintaining relationships with external partners including banks call centers and software providers.

This position plays a key role in the companys growth strategy by fostering a culture of operational discipline risk management and continuous improvement while supporting alignment with financial and compliance regulations.



Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Economics or Industrial Engineering (Masters degree preferred).

  • At least 7 years of operational experience in financial services (SOFOM fintech or banking).

  • Solid knowledge of credit loan servicing collections and reconciliations.

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and AML compliance (CNBV CONDUSEF UIF).

  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP Quanto and CRM platforms.

  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage digital transformation projects.

  • Intermediate English (written and spoken).

  • Required Skills:

    Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (CPA certification is a plus). Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and taxation. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
