- This role involves working as part of a team to maintain a safe supportive and caring environment that meets the needs of individuals and groups residing in the facility. The position requires a positive person-centered approach at all times.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other staff as a full and active team member.
- Provide individual support to service users aligning with the services aims and objectives.
- Adapt to flexible working arrangements including weekends evenings waking nights and sleep-in duties.
- Participate in planning delivering and reviewing care plans assuming keyworker responsibilities when necessary.
- Act as an enabler for service users encouraging independence rather than dependency.
- Offer practical and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Encourage and support service users to live as independently as possible.
Essential Experience Required
- Demonstrated belief in inclusion through work practice.
- Commitment to placing individual needs at the forefront of decision-making.
- Dedication to valuing and empowering the people supported advocating for their autonomy and addressing concerns when necessary.
Essential Qualification Required
- Ability to work effectively and supportively within a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Additional Information
- Must have access to own transport due to rural location.
- Shift-based role.
- Location: Oakleigh Lodge Dudley
- The role requires an Enhanced DBS.
