Job Summary

Shift-Based Role with a Local Authority

Summary

This role involves working as part of a team to maintain a safe supportive and caring environment that meets the needs of individuals and groups residing in the facility. The position requires a positive person-centered approach at all times.

Responsibilities

Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other staff as a full and active team member.
Provide individual support to service users aligning with the services aims and objectives.
Adapt to flexible working arrangements including weekends evenings waking nights and sleep-in duties.
Participate in planning delivering and reviewing care plans assuming keyworker responsibilities when necessary.
Act as an enabler for service users encouraging independence rather than dependency.
Offer practical and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries.
Encourage and support service users to live as independently as possible.

Essential Experience Required

Demonstrated belief in inclusion through work practice.
Commitment to placing individual needs at the forefront of decision-making.
Dedication to valuing and empowering the people supported advocating for their autonomy and addressing concerns when necessary.

Essential Qualification Required

Ability to work effectively and supportively within a team.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

Additional Information

Must have access to own transport due to rural location.
Shift-based role.
Location: Oakleigh Lodge Dudley
The role requires an Enhanced DBS.
