Position Title:ES Instructional Coach Division: Elementary School Supervisor:Divisional Principal/Assistant Principal Position Summary: The Elementary School (ES) Instructional Coach is part of the ES Team and works closely with the whole of the P-12 instructional coaching and curriculum coordinator team to ensure the taught curriculum is anchored in standards driven by a UbD framework and aligned P-12. The ES Instructional Coach provides on-site professional development that is innovative aligns with school-wide goals divisional initiatives and best practice research-based strategies. The ES Instructional Coach supports the ES faculty by helping them to identify learn and apply teaching and learning strategies that improve student learning and support the delivery of the Concordia mission. The ES Instructional Coachs responsibilities encompass classroom management curriculum knowledge directing instruction and assessment by facilitating the implementation of high-leverage interventions proven to increase the quality of instruction and significantly impact student achievement. When working with teachers the coach uses a non-evaluative partnership approach that promotes trust and professional ES Instructional Coach must be familiar with the UbD curriculm planning approach and knowledgeable about instructional frameworks to support teacher may also assist in schoolwide projects such as WASC self-study and action plan implementation addressing strategic goals for teaching and learning and educational technology initiatives within the ES division and across the whole of the P-12 community. We are looking for professionals well-versed in MTSS and UDL to guide classroom teachers in implementing research-based interventions and universally designed lessons. Requirements: Education - Bachelors Degree in relevant subject area.
- A certification in education.
- Advanced degree or specialization training that supports the teaching role preferred.
- Certification in Instructional Coachingor willingness to obtain.
Experience - Minimum 2 years successful teaching in a school setting.
- Teaching in the subject area and with the age of students assigned.
- Working successfully with an ethnically diverse population.
- Working with students with learning differences.
- Working with students who are English Language Learners (ELL).
- Working in an international school setting and familiarity with the American educational system preferred.
- Creating units of work using UbD strategies preferred.
Skills - Comprehensive knowledge of the developmental needs and milestones of students in the age group you are teaching.

- Collaborate with ELL specialists and subject teachers over professional learning/development connected to school-wide goals including leading professional development activities when required.
- Provide English learning support for all community members in assigned areas including being a first point of contact for parents where required.
