Job Summary

Youth Care Specialists I provide day-to-day care for youth ages 1320 in a residential setting creating a safe nurturing and fun environment. They work with male and female residents who may be highly acute or aggressive supporting each youths treatment process and emotional development. This role also includes completing tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to ensure consistent high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage youth in daily routines recreational activities and therapeutic interactions.
Support residents in developing independent living skills and coping strategies.
Assist with treatment plans and communicate progress to the Care Coordinator or Social Worker.
Maintain a safe and structured environment using behavior management and de-escalation techniques.
Perform domestic tasks provide transportation and complete documentation as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma and valid drivers license
Mandatory attendance at a 4-day 9am-5pm training program on the Homes trauma-informed care model within 6 months of hire
Successfully completing a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training and demonstrate proper physical techniques within 6 months of hire
