Job Summary
WEEKEND SHIFTS ONLY. 8am to 2pm & 4p to 10p
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering direct support and care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of those you serve while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene grooming and mobility assistance.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Monitor the health and well-being of clients reporting any changes in condition to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications as prescribed ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Assist with long-term care needs for individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions.
- Implement care plans that address the specific needs of clients including those with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality and privacy during all interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with meal preparation patient monitoring and medication administration is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring long-term care is a plus.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial for providing specialized support.
- A compassionate attitude and strong interpersonal skills are essential for building trusting relationships with clients.
