The University of Chicagos Department of Medicine is searching for full-time physician scientist faculty members at any rank. Appointees will maintain a productive research program and provide patient care directly. We are interested in applicants in any area of scientific investigation and clinical subspecialty; however we especially welcome those whose broad research focus is in the areas of immunology/inflammation diabetes obesity metabolism sleep disorders or cancer responsibilities will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.

Primary appointments will be in the Department of Medicine although we anticipate that appointees will develop close interactions with other departments divisions centers and institutes at the University of Chicago Argonne National Laboratory and/or the Marine Biological Laboratory. Faculty recruited through this effort will strengthen and diversify a collegial and internationally acclaimed research base that is making major contributions to the advancement of human health.
Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must: 1) have an MD MD/PhD or equivalent and 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois.
