We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner for Inpatient Clinical Cardiac.
Hours: Modified full-time - 36 hours
Shift: Day /Evening 24-hr shift & 12-hr shift weekend holiday rotation
Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital Fall River MA

Responsibilities
- Performdiversified duties in the care of patients assigned under direction of individual attending physicians under the rules and regulations of Massachusetts governing Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner practice.
- Provide comprehensive cardiology care to a wide variety of patients throughout the hospital including critical care emergency department and procedural areas.
- Role would include consultative services and primary management of cardiac patients including admission discharge and transfer as well as response to emergencies.
- Complete care of patients before and after emergent and elective cardiac catheterization procedures including management of procedural complications.
- Critical care responsibilities include management of patients with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac support devices in collaboration with other specialties.
- Additional responsibilities include coverage and management of electrophysiology and structural heart patients in collaboration with other apps and physicians within the cardiovascular care center.
- Participation in day night weekend holiday rotation required.
- Role reports to medical director of cardiac interventional service and chief of cardiology.
Qualifications
- Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
- Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required. Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
- Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner: Qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards as set by the American Heart Association.
- Possess the ability to care for critically ill adult patients with a broad range of medical problems.
- Possess the maturity self-confidence and ability to follow complex patient management plans as directed by the attending Cardiologist.
- Minimum of one year of cardiovascular experience as an APP is required
- NP Massachusetts Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role. CME requirements as needed.
- PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice. CME requirements as needed.
