The Operator ll is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking assembling and packaging. Machine set-up and equipment operation may be required. This position is part of the Test Strips department located in Ames IA and will be working onsite.

This is a second shift position with the following schedule Monday-Thursday 3:15PM-1:45AM. Overtime may be required.

In this role a typical day will look like:

• Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications.
• Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment PPE usage hand tool safety lock-out-tag-out and proper storage of tools etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies.
• Meet productivity standards and communicate effectively when obstacles occur.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• HS diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Six months manufacturing production experience required.
• Six months mechanical or machine operation experience or equivalent required

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye hearing and respiratory protection protective smock steel toe shoes gloves hard hats or face shields. Contact lenses are not allowed.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
