Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active advanced nurse practitioner to join Rowhedge and the University of Essex Medical practice. The role is offered on a part-time basis working 3 days per week approximately 22.5 hours.
The successful candidate will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of the patient supporting the delivery of policy procedures.
The advanced practitioner should be able to manage clinical cases and to be able to deal with presenting patient needs within a primary care setting.
The job will include the following duties;
- Initial history taking
- Clinical assessment
- Diagnosis treatment and evaluation of care.
- Contact with patients is by telephone or face to face appointments in the surgery
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate must have the following;
- Masters degree in Clinical Practice
- Registered General Nurse with NMC
- Diagnostic and nurse prescribing qualification
- Experience of working within primary care
- Demonstrate continued professional development and professionalism
- Experience of providing multi-skilled healthcare and clinical treatment
- Experience of working on clinical systems and be able to enter and use patient date efficiently whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise and communicate with clinical and administrative staff within the practice and partnership.
