Our ICU is a dynamic and diverse unit specializing in trauma surgical medical and cardiac care. We have 25 beds and offer flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts available rotating between both days and nights. Our team includes a dedicated unit educator and a group of experienced charge nurses. We have implemented many technologic advances to ensure high-quality care for our patients.

How youll contribute

ARegistered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care intervention including medication administration specimen collection clinical treatments as well as other medical care treatment.

• Documents patient care given.

• Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team physician patient and family.

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living including personal hygiene elimination nutrition and ambulation.

• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care including patient transfer discharge referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs

• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.

• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

• Floats to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios

What were looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelors degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within30 days of hire.

• ACLS Certification within 1 year of hire

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire;

• Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually
