Title: Registered Dietitian
Job Location: New York NY
Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)
Shift: 8*5
Pay rate: $2494 (Weekly Gross)
Education:
Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.
Masters degree preferred.
Responsibilities:
Monitor patients and provide education on food/drug interactions.
Record food and drug interactions accurately in patient records.
Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional needs and provide follow-up care.
Interview patients and/or families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.
Provide nutrition education and document diet instructions and patient understanding.
Modify patient menus as needed.
Interpret relevant laboratory physical and social data for nutrition care.
Travel to patients homes within assigned boroughs (not multiple boroughs in a single day).
Ensure compliance with New York State Certification requirements for post-acute care or registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for acute care settings.
Follow all federal and state regulations for dietitian practice in healthcare facilities.
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
