Salary: Level 3 Step 1 ($30.88 hourly)

Reporting to the Assets & Camps Supervisor the position is responsible for providing services of snow removal from driveways for TH Elders within the municipal boundaries of Dawson City and other assigned locations. This position requires the incumbent to maintain statistics and complete reports for senior management including vehicle maintenance logs and safety records.

An Eligibility List may be established from this competition the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time permanent part-time temporary full-time temporary part-time term or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:

Class 5 Drivers License and clear Drivers Abstract combined with skid steer experience / heavy equipment operator experience / licensing including 3 years recent experience and / or 5 years practical experience.

Experience driving in all weather conditions.

Ability to perform basic administrative skills such as keeping logs statistics and performing essential duties such as pre-trip inspections.

Self-directed and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to triage work orders and prioritize.

Assets:

Defensive driving training.

Ability to be vigilant of terrain and surroundings.

Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

Conditions of Employment:

Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract.

Valid skid steer operator certification (if applicable).

TH101 Cultural Awareness training.
