We deliver secure high-quality language solutions in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Kyrgyz (Kyrgyzstani) Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kyrgyz a Turkic language spoken in Kyrgyzstan and across Central Asia is a rare but critical language often needed for asylum refugee and immigration interviews.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Kyrgyz English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews hearings and official proceedings.
Deliver interpretation with accuracy impartiality and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics and confidentiality standards.
Manage both scheduled and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Kyrgyz and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration asylum legal NGO or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural awareness.
Excellent communication skills; ability to stay accurate under pressure.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
