SUMMARY
The Mop Finisher/Boxer is a vital part of the Mop Department. This position is responsible for the final product finishing and boxing of mops and is relied upon to ensure that the product quality and specifications have been met before shipping to our valuable customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mop Finisher/Boxer will be responsible for the following core job duties:
- Load yarn rolls on to stand.
- Pull yarn to designated length and cut.
- Secure cut yarn with rubber band.
- Neatly stack cut and banded yarn for mop winders.
- Trim and secure mop head on finished mops.
- Assemble mop boxes.
- Box and tape finished mops per specs.
- Palletize boxes per specs.
- Move raw materials from warehouse to production area.
- Assure raw materials in warehouse are maintained neatly and kept free from damage.
- Move finished goods to warehouse.
- Ensure finished goods are maintained neatly and kept free from damage.
- Strap/shrink wrap finished goods for shipment as directed by supervisor.
- Stage finished goods for shipment as directed by supervisor.
- Label finished goods for shipment as directed by supervisor.
- Work and coordinate within the product flow of the department.
- Coordinate all activities with the department supervisor.
- Maintain the required production output levels as specified by supervisor.
- Inspect finished products and raw materials to identify and report possible defects as specified.
- Assist with routine inventory checks as needed.
- Adhere to the Lighthouse safety plan by utilizing safe workplace practices and reporting all injuries accidents near misses emergencies and safety hazards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School / GED preferred.
- Special Knowledge: None.
- Experience: None required but previous work experience will be considered when hiring.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Physical: Able to perform duties as required by department and function accommodations may be made if
- reasonable and feasible able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Able to travel throughout the facility to safely and effectively manage all work responsibilities breaks and emergency evacuations with or without a reasonable accommodation. Able to manage all self-care needs and activities of daily living as required to support successful employment with our without a reasonable accommodation.
- Personality: Ability to work well in a team environment dependable willing to learn.
- Working Conditions: Inside production environment.
- Work Schedule: Full-time Typically 40 hours. May be more or less depending on business need.
- Background Check and Drug Test Required: Employment is contingent based upon satisfactory results.
