Make your mark in Actuaries

Our Actuaries are on the front lines quantifying risk pricing insurance and reserving losses for AIGs major insurance operating companies globally. We collaborate with Finance Claims Operations Marketing and Risk Management among other functions. As an AIG actuary you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict manage and mitigate risk.

How you will create an impact

  • Assist on the coding of Excess Casualty pricing tools in HyperExponential

  • Assist on the development/update/maintenance of pricing tools and parameters

  • Assist in analyzing the profitability of business segments within Excess Casualty. Identify pockets of profitable growth opportunities

  • Assist development and design of analytical tools and techniques to help business effectively manage existing portfolios

  • Update existing KPI management reports

  • Assist in ad-hoc data requests

  • Assist on monitoring loss trends and relevant industry/regulatory changes and effectively communicate these to management.

  • Assist on monitoring rate exposure retention new lost business changes


What youll need to succeed

  • BS in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics or related area

  • 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams completed

  • 2 or more years of experience in Commercial Casualty lines preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Proficiency in Excel SQL Python R or other programming languages preferred

  • Effective time management skill

  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Strong work ethic

  • Customer focus

For positions based in New York the base salary range is $84000-$108000; for the positions based in New Jersey the base range is $80000-$103000 and for the positions based in Illinois the base range is $77000-$99000.
