Job Description

Manage day-to-day accounting activities for residential construction projects.
Maintain accurate job cost tracking budget-to-actual reporting and variance analysis.
Process vendor invoices subcontractor payments and draw requests.
Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
Enter budgets and project data into Sage; ensure coding accuracy and documentation compliance.
Support leadership with project financial insights and reporting needs.
Handle bank deposits vendor setup and insurance/W9 tracking.
Collaborate with project management and architecture teams for purchasing and cost monitoring.
Assist with residential closing documentation and posting HUD statements.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
Proficiency in Sage accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar) is required.
2 years of professional accounting experience (construction experience preferred but not required).
Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative small-team setting.
Local candidates preferred; familiarity with Nashvilles municipal processes is a plus.
