Job Description
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for residential construction projects.
- Maintain accurate job cost tracking budget-to-actual reporting and variance analysis.
- Process vendor invoices subcontractor payments and draw requests.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
- Enter budgets and project data into Sage; ensure coding accuracy and documentation compliance.
- Support leadership with project financial insights and reporting needs.
- Handle bank deposits vendor setup and insurance/W9 tracking.
- Collaborate with project management and architecture teams for purchasing and cost monitoring.
- Assist with residential closing documentation and posting HUD statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar) is required.
- 2 years of professional accounting experience (construction experience preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative small-team setting.
- Local candidates preferred; familiarity with Nashvilles municipal processes is a plus.
