Job Summary
Job description:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Maintenance Mechanic to join our industrial team in Charlotte this role you will perform preventive predictive and reactive maintenance to ensure the reliable operation of facility equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in mechanical systems and trades such as welding pipefitting fabrication and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform industrial maintenance tasks including inspection repair and troubleshooting
- Use tools such as hand tools power tools and precision instruments
- Work with systems involving pumps gearboxes bearings lubrication and piping
- Read and interpret blueprints schematics and equipment manuals
- Operate forklifts loaders scissor lifts and aerial lifts
- Accurately document maintenance activities using computer software
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth facility operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs bend kneel climb and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in various indoor/outdoor environments (heat cold noise dust)
- Ability to work in elevated areas and with PPE
- Willing to work overtime weekends or different shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school certification or military technical experience
- Experience in multiple trades: welding electrical pipefitting hydraulics etc.
- Familiarity with safe work practices (e.g. hazard analysis confined space entry)
- Experience with laser alignment dial indicators or other precision maintenance tools
