Nestled in the heart of Kakaako Honolulus most vibrant neighborhood our restaurant has a unique concept customers visit not only to relax with friends or watch live sports but also to enjoy an omakase dinner at the sushi bar.

Responsibilities:
As a Sushi Chef youll stand behind the counter crafting high-quality sushi while interacting with customers. Responsibilities include all culinary tasks such as prep work cooking and plating as well as management duties like inventory control and maintaining kitchen sanitation.
- Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
- Ensure ingredient quality and freshness
- Handle all prep work and cooking
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise assistant sushi chefs
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Position: Sushi Chef
Employment Type: Full-time
Openings: 1
Work Location: Honolulu Hawaii
Hours: 40 hours per week (shift schedule including weekends and holidays)
Overtime: Generally none
Pay and Benefits:
- Compensation: $16-$22 per hour tips (approx.10-20%)
- (Determined based on experience skills and previous salary)

Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience as a Japanese cuisine or Sushi Chef
- Proficient knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients
- Knowledge and practical experience in food hygiene and safety management
- In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine preferred
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills and etiquette
- Valid Hawaii Food Handlers Card
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
