About the Role

Provide comprehensive anaesthesia acute pain and perioperative services for elective and emergency patients at Waikato and Thames Hospitals
Participate in an on-call roster
Actively contribute to teaching research and service improvement
Model a high degree of professionalism collaboration and leadership
Work within a team-based model of care alongside skilled colleagues in anaesthesia surgery and perioperative medicine

About You

You will ideally have:

Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) or equivalent (or be close to completion)
Eligibility for Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
Recent clinical experience comparable to contemporary Australasian practice
Competence in providing anaesthesia for healthy children aged > 24 months
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A team-focused approach with demonstrated leadership and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
