Role Summary

The Art Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and creative output of the agencys work. They are responsible for conceptualizing developing and executing high-impact visual campaigns across multiple platforms ensuring they align with client objectives and the agencys creative standards.

This position requires a balance of strategic thinking strong design expertise and leadership skills to guide a team of designers copywriters and other creative professionals toward delivering innovative and visually compelling work.


Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

  • Develop original innovative visual concepts for advertising campaigns ensuring they resonate with the target audience and client objectives.

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and concept development in collaboration with copywriters designers and creative strategists.

  • Ensure all creative outputs maintain brand consistency and adhere to client guidelines.

  • Present creative ideas and campaign visuals to internal teams and clients confidently and persuasively.

  • Act as a mentor and coach to junior designers and creative team members fostering their growth and development.


Project Management

  • Oversee the visual direction of projects from concept to completion including design production and delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with the account management strategy and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of assets.

  • Allocate resources and delegate tasks effectively to optimize team productivity.

  • Review and approve final designs before delivery to clients.


Client Collaboration

  • Participate in client meetings to understand project goals challenges and brand positioning.

  • Provide creative recommendations that strategically align with client objectives and market trends.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by acting as a trusted creative partner.


Innovation & Trends

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends tools and technologies to keep the agencys work fresh and relevant.

  • Champion innovation by integrating new visual techniques digital formats and creative storytelling approaches into campaigns.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Arts Advertising or a related field.

  • 5 years of experience in an advertising or creative agency with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior design role.

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality campaigns across multiple channels (print digital social OOH etc.).

Creative & Technical Skills

  • Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign After Effects etc.).

  • Strong understanding of typography color theory layout and visual hierarchy.

  • Knowledge of digital and interactive design principles.

  • Ability to translate strategic briefs into compelling creative concepts.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering polished high-quality work.

  • Adaptability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
