JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Jude Elementary a vibrant and welcoming Catholic elementary school community in East Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Educational Assistant to fill a short-term Full-Time position from January to June 2026 with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education a commitment to working with neurodiverse children and a passion for helping students succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and Learning Resource Teacher by
• Providing classroom support to students with varying levels of need both one on one and in small groups
• Supervising and supporting students during independent work and group activities
• Helping to implement individualized education plans for students
• Tracking learning goals related to the individualized education plan
• Participating in Grade-level meetings with the classroom teacher and Learning Resource Teacher
• Attending and participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
• Interacting professionally and discretely with students parents and other staff

Qualifications:

• Certification in education or related field is preferred
• Experience working with children with neurodiverse abilities is preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work as a team member and maintain positive relationships with students parents and staff
• Practicing Catholic applicants are preferred
