We are seeking Tagalog Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Tagalog (Filipino) is a priority language for immigration and naturalization cases requiring interpreters who can deliver with accuracy neutrality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Tagalog English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Interpret with accuracy impartiality and confidentiality in immigration legal and administrative contexts.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
Follow USCIS/DHS compliance standards and interpreter ethics.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and quality assurance reviews.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Tagalog (Filipino) and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal healthcare or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality requirements.
Strong communication skills and cultural competency.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
