Position Summary:
Wasauksing First Nation is accepting applications for a Clinical Coordinator. The Wasauksing First Nation-Health Department is seeking an innovative highlymotivated and energetic team player for the position of a permanent ClinicalCoordinator-RN. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for organizingcoordinating monitoring and supporting primary care clients; setting up of clinicalappointments; exam room bookings and ensuring that the supplies for primary careare monitored and ordered in collaboration with the needs of all primary care staffunder the direction of the Nurse Practitioner. Other duties and responsibilities willbe to maintain a confidential multidisciplinary EMR provide daily support to allprofessionals utilizing the system as well as sitting as representative of the DataManagement Committee of the IPHCC. Communication is key whenindividuals/groups enter into the Health Department the individual will beexpected to assist clients their families all health staff visiting professionals andvisiting agencies whilst maintaining a very well organized and clean reception andgreeting area.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- RN works collaboratively with the physicians; PC-NP; HCC-RPN/RN
Coordinator; - RN-Case Coordinator and other members of the team by ensuring privacy and safety for clients within the physical building of the WFN-Health Department and to oversee any and all entries; referrals; addition/deletions of staff within the EMR.
- Accepting referrals; coordinating care clinics (footcare; visiting physicians) and ensuring accommodations of care management within the physical building is provided for the clients.
- Consult with the physicians; nurse practitioners when necessary regarding specifics of their office space and needs for assistance.
- These actions also include coordination with the Health Administration Clerk and other Registered Staff.
- Provide holistic care to an individual client or groups of clients including family members and significant others in ensuring that they are cared for in terms of availability of rooms and privacy at times deemed necessary due to absence/illness etc of a primary care worker.
- Practices independently and collaboratively with other health care providers in assessing planning implementing and evaluating the individual care for client requirements within the role of clinic coordinator.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Wasauksing First Nation and any other relevant policies and procedures from external agencies and partners
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position as assigned by the Director of Health
Education & Experience:
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario Certificate of Competence having completed at least a Registered Nurse at the college level having completed specialty certifications and an undergraduate degree in another area other than nursing;
- Must have a minimum 2 years of previous related experience with patient care in a clinic or hospital setting;
- Must be knowledgeable with computer programs such as Microsoft and client
- databases;
- Current CPR Level C and First Aid Certificate;
- Ability to speak read and understand Anishnaabemowin (Ojibway Language) is an asset

- Valid drivers license and reliable personal vehicle
- willing to work flexible hours as required including evenings and weekends.
- This position requires the individual to work with varoious families youth and children. To protect children youth and vulnerable persons WFN requires the individual to provide a vulnerable sector check.
