We are seeking Punjabi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. This role provides real-time telephonic interpretation between Punjabi and English during immigration interviews hearings and official proceedings.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate and impartial Punjabi English interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Interpret in immigration legal and administrative settings with professionalism.
Adhere to USCIS/DHS confidentiality and compliance standards.
Handle both scheduled and urgent OPI requests.
Participate in required training compliance refreshers and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native proficiency in Punjabi and English.
2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration legal medical or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics and standards (NCIHC ATA or RID).
Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain neutral and accurate.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
