We are seeking passionate Support Worker - Te Whai Oranga to join us in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
This is an exciting time to join Comcare as we continue to develop and deliver services in Dunedin supporting people who need unique and tailored responses.
Comcare is an established Mental Health and Housing provider offering rich and diverse range of Mental Health Support Services Housing and Housing Support Services.
About the role
The role of a Support Worker - Te Whai Oranga is to find positive creative solutions for people who have complex issues that create barriers for successful community living and supports them to problem solve a pathway forward to independent living.
A full-time permanent position with a scheduled roster pattern.
About you
Applicants for this role would ideally have sound knowledge of the Mental Health/Social Services support systems. You will also have a cultural awareness knowledge of and demonstrable commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Flexible adaptable and confident you will be able to make well considered decisions. You also understand the need for strong professional boundaries and a good work ethic.
It is desirable to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Level 4 (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to undertake study towards this qualification with our support.
To apply for this role you will need to currently have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. You will also need a current NZ Drivers Licence.
