We are seeking Pulaar Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Pulaar a Fula/Fulani language spoken in West Africa is a rare language of interest for asylum and immigration cases requiring accuracy cultural understanding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Pulaar English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers applicants and stakeholders.
Deliver services with accuracy neutrality and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to USCIS/DHS compliance standards.
Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
Participate in training compliance refreshers and quality assurance audits.

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Pulaar and English.
2 years of interpreting experience (immigration legal community or government preferred).
Familiarity with interpreter ethics and confidentiality standards.
Strong telephone communication and cultural competency skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
