Arise/EFR is looking for a Regional Resource Development Specialist
The Regional Resource Development Specialist is responsible for assisting the RRDC Manager and Lead RRDS with managing and delivering the program objectives of conversion repatriation diversion waiver administration and resource development. Implementing the NHTD and TBI waivers and improving access to the NHTD and TBI program supports. Meeting with potential waiver participants determining waiver eligibility and offering individuals the choice of participation in the NHTD and TBI waivers and a choice of waiver Service Coordinators.
Job Summary:
The Regional Resource Development Specialist is responsible for reviewing monitoring and approving NHTD and TBI waiver participant Service Plans that are developed by the waiver participant and the Service Coordinator and reviewing revised plans annually to monitor for quality and cost effectiveness. Providing training and technical assistance to Waiver Service Providers on the needs of individuals with disabilities and how to develop waiver Service Plans. Reviewing the information and investigations regarding Serious Reportable Incidents in accordance with the Serious Reportable Incident policy collaborating with DOH as needed and providing technical assistance and training to providers on the SRI process as needed.
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree or higher in health or human services or a related field and two years of combined satisfactory professional experience in working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors
Be a Registered Professional Nurse and have one years of combined satisfactory professional experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors including in a managerial capacity
Possess an associate degree and five years of combined satisfactory experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or seniors including in a managerial capacity
One year of satisfactory experience as an Assistant Regional Resource Development Specialist
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of the operation of 1915 (c) waivers and community-based services
Working knowledge of services and supports available through Medicaid Medicare and/or other third-party payers
Working knowledge of community-based resources for individuals with disabilities and/or seniors
Experience collaborating with other formal and informal supports to achieve a common goal
Experience developing relationships with institutional and/or community-based organizations
Excellent assessment skills and screening and interviewing skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Organizational problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with disabilities and/or seniors including in a managerial capacity
One year of satisfactory experience as an Assistant Regional Resource Development Specialist
Work location: Onondaga County - Syracuse NY
Hours and days: Monday-Friday 8:00am -4:00pm (Tentative work from home schedule)
Compensation: $50000 -$52000 Annually
Non -Exempt; 40 hours per week including one-hour paid lunch
Background check fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
