Job Summary
Global restaurant brands run their operation on the Crunchtime platform. Delivering a consistent guest experience across every location and managing food and labor costs are at the core of how Crunchtimes software is used today in over 150000 locations across 100 countries by the worlds top restaurant and foodservice operators. Customers including Chipotle Culvers Dominos Dunkin Five Guys and P.F. Changs rely on our top-ranked platform which now includes Zenput to manage inventory staff scheduling learning and development food safety operational tasks and audits.
About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer you will play a vital role in developing new features & products and helping to maintain and update our enterprise products. Working collaboratively with other talented engineers as an empathetic system thinker you will continue to evolve our platform.
Our software stack includes Java Spring Spring Boot SQL MyBatis and Oracle DB on the backend. We use React TypeScript jQuery NodeJs in the frontend. The Crunchtime Ops Management teams own the full-stack web application that powers our customer experience across web and mobile devices.
Youll be building new customer-facing functionality and continuing to improve the stability and scalability of the Teamworx and related services.
What youll do as a Senior Software Engineer
- Use our entire technology stack to develop new features and applications for the Teamworx platform including web UI webhooks and APIs
- Contribute to and influence design and development decisions
- Work in an agile environment quickly and incrementally delivering value to our customers using tools from the Scrum toolbox and using tight feedback loops with internal and external stakeholders
- Maximize our velocity and minimize risk by using TDD/CI and other DevOps best practices
- Use Jira Slack and Zoom to communicate with your team and leadership
What were looking for
- 7 years of experience in software development with a proven track record of working on large-scale projects.
- Experience with mentoring and leveling up people around you
- Great communicator and outstanding team player. Bias towards over-communicating and asking questions.
- Desire to be part of a team be a part of culture and contribute and seek best outcome for the team rather than being right.
- Curious and intentional about self-development
- Proficient knowledge of multiple programming languages software development frameworks and tools
- Expertise in system architecture and design patterns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities including mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum framework and associated tools & principles
- RDBMS experience with a strong preference for Oracle
- Ability to design and implement the right technical solution for the right problem at the right time
- Strong focus on delivering quality results on time
Nice to haves
- Specific experience with our tech (Java Javascript Python SQL Oracle PL/SQL)
- Experience with DevOps
- Expertise in and experience developing enterprise products and web products at scale
- Experience with distributed systems complex user interfaces or other challenging engineering problems
