Reception Teacher — Good School — Merton — January 2026 start

A vibrant Good primary in Merton seeks a creative Reception Teacher to lead an Early Years class from January 2026. The Full-Time Reception Teacher will be involved in pre-term planning ahead of January 2026 attend induction during January 2026 and be teaching from January 2026. This role offers excellent outdoor provision high adult-to-child ratios and a strong emphasis on early language and number development ideal for a Reception Teacher who loves child-centred practice.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality continuous provision and focused adult-led sessions as the Reception Teacher.
Lead daily phonics early reading early maths and personal social and emotional development as the Reception Teacher.
Use observation and assessment to track progress and plan next steps as the Reception Teacher.
Engage families and support transition into Year 1; the Reception Teacher will take part in transition activities before January 2026 and after the January 2026 start.

Reception Teacher Requirements
QTS/EYTS or equivalent and recent Reception experience expected of the Reception Teacher.
Warm reflective and organised Reception Teacher with excellent communication skills.
The Reception Teacher should be ready to participate in planning prior to January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Reception Teacher.
