We deliver mission-critical business impact fast and as an intern you will directly support our department in partnering with our customers to bring their best ideas to life.
As an Appian Associate Technical Consultant Intern youll be embedded with a team to gain an authentic real-world experience doing tangible and meaningful work. Youll help build and deploy web-based applications on the Appian platform supporting our customers business strategies under the guidance of our full-time consultants. During our 10-week in-person program youll become an expert on our software and a key part of a team delivering great solutions.
This internship is based at our headquarters in McLean Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Interns in this program are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to fully experience our culture learn directly from peers and mentors and contribute to projects in a collaborative environment. Being in the office provides more opportunities to connect learn and celebrate with the exceptional people across Appian.

To be successful in this role youll need:
An aptitude for analyzing business strategies and processes to help develop technical and non-technical solutions that support them.
A solid foundation of or passion for technology.
The desire to use a design-thinking approach for prototyping and modeling business processes.
The ability to leverage what youve learned to construct implement and deploy process-centric business process management solutions using the Appian platform.
Creativity for designing supporting change management artifacts to increase adoption of new solutions
Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering Math Computer Science Economics or an equivalent background.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred experience with relational databases (Oracle SQL server etc.) and cloud technologies.
