Job Description
Provides immediate supervision to a unit of employees. Sets and delegates day-to-day tasks to achieve operational objectives. A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks related to the unit; however supervisory activities must constitute a primary part of the job. Supervises unit operations to ensure compliance with divisional and Agency policies procedures and defined internal controls. Problems typically involve a single area process or group. Ensures accountability and stewardship of Agency resources (operational financial and human) in compliance with divisional standards and procedures.
Essential Functions
- Supervise hazard and MI staff. Conduct performance reviews manage workflow to meet production quality goals.
- Perform quarterly check-ins and employee evaluations and employee leave system monitoring in Workday.
- Supervise the FHA mortgage insurance premium monthly billing cycle. Verify that loans are transferred back to the originating lender by utilizing FHA Connection.
- Handle requests for MIP refunds from originating lenders. General oversight of the billing process. Analyze reports for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Serve as a backup for processing FHA MIP and PMI insurance billings.
- Hazard policy tracking and maintenance. Oversee the daily operations of tracking and verifying hazard flood and other property insurance policies across the entire escrowed loan portfolio which is approximately 60000 loans.
- Process monthly mass escrow analyses one-off requests for escrow analysis and any loss mitigation analysis requests.
- Dispute and escalation resolution. Handle escalated insurance issues including borrower inquiries inquiries from other staff and complaints from third-party vendors.
- Vendor management. Ensure that hazard payees are up to date and make any necessary changes to mailing addresses company names or adding companies as needed.
- Generate reports regarding hazard and flood insurance on a variety of metrics to assess departmental performance and identify areas for improvement. Maintain task tracking queues between hazard staff within MSP.
- Billing Statements. Ensure timely processing of the monthly billing file. Review statements on print vendor website. Review reports to verify compliance with CFPB regulations.
- Monitor the phone queue and voice mail box. Forward voice mails to appropriate team members. Monitor the escrow email box and fax folder in MS Outlook.
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication and knowledge sharing with Homeownership Programs and our IT department.
- Provide support to staff by managing scheduling and coordinating tasks.
- Examine ICE and escrow dashboard reports for quality and thoroughness
