Job Summary
In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Reporting to the Manager or designate and working in a computerized environment the Charge Aide Sterile Supply Processing cleans decontaminates assembles wraps sterilizes and distributes complex and specialized instruments supplies linen and equipment related to operative procedures; provides work direction and supervises assigned Sterile Supply Processing staff; maintains records summarizes statistics and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Sterile Supply Processing course and two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
