Job Description:
As a Senior EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) Specialist you are a member of our Worldwide Facility Management & EHS group tasked with; ensuring appropriate and efficient facilities for our Uppsala Umeå and Waltham locations and encouraging safe protected and motivating work environments at PSX.
Your responsibility within this team is to act as the subject matter expert for all EHS related work. You will be responsible for leading the EHS initiatives of the PSX unit to ensure compliance efficiency safety and security in the workplace. The Senior EHS Specialist will report directly to our Manager of Global Facility Management & EHS.
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure documentation communication and follow-up of PSXs overall environmental health and safety work
- Support the PSX division and its operations with expertise in EHS related questions
- Be our PSX division expert and set requirements for our environmental health and safety program make sure that PSX is aligned with corporate standards procedures and policies
- Coordinate maintain develop and be responsible contact for PSX EHS work
- Maintenance activity and project planning for your profession
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree in Environmental Health or similar (the focus of the position will be Health & Safety)
- 8 years of experience in an EHS role with a track record of successfully leading EHS programs in the Life Science industry
- Strong understanding of EHS regulations and standards in Sweden is a must understanding/experience of US regulations and standards is highly merited
- Significant experience and solid ability in ordering work external lead / coordinate work and managing people
- Full professional proficiency in both Swedish and English is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ambitious and self-motivated with a dedication to continuous improvement
