Description

Under general direction coordinates and monitors the progress of office automation projects from original analysis through final implementation; performs high level systems analysis and provides technical assistance to department/agency personnel by supporting and coordinating tasks related to office automation systems; and may provide supervision to subordinate staff.

The ideal candidateis an experienced Business Intelligence professional with expertise in SQL development ETL processes and modern data tools skilled in designing implementing and maintaining complex reporting solutions in Power BI and Tableau. They excel at translating business requirements into scalable dashboards semantic data models and optimized reporting processes while ensuring data quality availability and performance across systems. With considerable knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) data models and healthcare analytics they can extract and analyze clinical financial and operational data to identify trends improve workflows and support quality outcomes. Proficient in data visualization and program management they are adept at solving organizational challenges preparing actionable recommendations and communicating insights effectively. Collaborative and solutions-focused they bring a balance of technical expertise and analytical skill to drive efficiency automation and informed decision-making across cross-functional teams.

PAYROLL TITLE: Office Systems Coordinator IV

EDUCATIONAL/BILINGUAL INCENTIVE:Incumbents may be eligible for educational incentive of 2.5% 3.5% or 5% based on completion of an Associates Bachelors or Masters degree that is not required for the classification. Incumbents may also be eligible for bilingual incentive depending upon operational need and certification of skill.

Examples Of Duties

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Designs tests implements and maintains complex technical solutions in SQL and PowerBI to support critical operational initiatives;
  • Develops maintains and optimizes dashboards reports and data visualization using tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau;
  • Translates business requirements into design specifications and architect reporting solutions;
  • Builds and maintains complex semantic data models in Power BI/Microsoft Fabric;
  • Establishes best practices and designs to support semantic models for both BI team and self-service reporting including optimal data loading and refresh strategies;
  • Optimizes the performance of BI solutions including data modeling system architecture and report refresh efficiency;
  • Collaborates with the Data Analytics and Data Platform teams to ensure high data quality availability and freshness;
  • Assists in automating reporting processes to improve efficiency and timeliness and troubleshoots issues with existing reports and optimizes code to improve report performance;
  • Establishes best practices and designs to support semantic models for both BI team and self-service reporting including optimal data loading and refresh strategies;
  • Sets up monitoring tools to track performance lineage usage and issues within the Power Platform environment;
  • Conducts data analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement in clinic workflows patient throughput revenue cycle processes and quality outcomes; and
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Typical Qualifications

EDUCATION TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Progressively responsible experience in automated office systems coordination which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge skills and abilities. The required knowledge skills and abilities also can be obtained by completion of pertinent office systems coursework with five (5) or more years of related experience.

Considerable to thorough knowledge of:

  • Electronic Health Records (EHR) data models
  • SQL development Datawarehouse development (ETL)
  • Data ingestion and modern data tools
  • the principles of program management
  • application of office automation to business processes
  • extracting data from Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Healthcare data analysis such as clinical financial or operational

Proficient skill in:

  • data visualization tools like Power Business Intelligence (Power BI) or Tableau

Working ability to:

  • analyze administrative and organizational problems
  • prepare a variety of reports and recommendations
  • manage projects and programs
  • communicate effectively in an oral and written manner
  • translate complex data into actionable insights and clear visualizations
  • work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE EVALUATION:
A Training and Experience Evaluation (T&E) is a structured evaluation of the job application materials submitted by a candidate including the written responses to the supplemental questionnaire. The T&E is NOT a determination of whether the candidate meets the stated requirements; rather the T&E is one method for determining who are the better qualified among those who have shown that they meet the stated a T&E applications are either scored or rank ordered according to criteria that most closely meet the business needs of the department. Candidates are typically scored/ranked in relation to one another; consequently when the pool of candidates is exceptionally strong many qualified candidates may receive a score or rank which is moderate or even low resulting in them not being advanced in the process.

ORAL EXAMINATION - 100%: A job-related oral examination may be conducted to evaluate and compare participating examinees knowledge skills and abilities in relation to those factors which job analysis has determined to be essential for successful performance of the job. Examinees must earn a score of seventy percent (70%) or higher to qualify for placement on the eligible list.

NOTE: The selection process may consist of an Oral Exam which may be preceded or replaced with the score from a Training and Experience Evaluation (T&E) contingent upon the size and quality of the candidate a typical T&E your training and experience are evaluated in relation to the background experience and factors identified for successful job performance during a job analysis.
