Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manufacturing QA Technician I to join their growing team in Riverside CA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality food safety and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct sampling testing plating reading and recording of product test results.
Maintain accurate daily records and perform data entry.
Perform internal audits and follow hold procedures for non-compliant products.
Calibrate maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment.
Prepare for regulatory inspections and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Execute lab testing procedures including microbial plating component analysis and environmental swabbing.
Inspect equipment and facility areas for sanitation and compliance with safety standards.
Conduct sensory evaluations on milk and other products.
Monitor all Critical Control Point (CCP) records and frequencies.
Report production-related issues to supervisors and assist with customer complaint investigations.
Manage product specifications documentation and training related to GMPs Food Safety and regulatory compliance.
Maintain inventory and oversee laboratory supplies.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Food Science Biology Microbiology Chemistry or related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Microbiological Physical Chemical and Organoleptic testing methods.
Familiarity with HACCP Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Sanitation Standards.
Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Windows-based applications; intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Excellent communication organization and time management abilities.
Ability to multitask work independently or collaboratively and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
