Cedar Park Med is hiring an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a variety of routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a clinical environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented technically skilled and capable of working independently while supporting a collaborative healthcare team.
Schedule/Shift:
7:30am 4:00pm with possible evening and weekend on-call coverage
Position Overview:
Under general supervision the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs standard imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This role also involves maintaining accurate records ensuring radiation safety protocols and providing guidance or training to other staff members as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine nuclear medicine diagnostic procedures following physician orders and safety protocols
Prepare calculate and administer radiopharmaceuticals
Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment including Siemens EVOSPECT and Phillips Forte cameras
Utilize NMIS in the hot lab for data entry and quality control
Access and document patient information in EPIC and Synapse PACS
Maintain detailed records of imaging results procedures and radiation doses
Ensure proper handling storage and disposal of radioactive materials
Support quality assurance and safety procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations
Assist in training and mentoring new staff as assigned
Requirements:
Current New York State Nuclear Medicine Technologist license/registration
ARRT (N) or CNMT certification in Nuclear Medicine or board-eligible
CPR certification
Proficiency with Siemens EVOSPECT and Phillips Forte cameras preferred
Working knowledge of NMIS EPIC and Synapse PACS systems
Strong attention to detail accuracy and radiation safety practices
