Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide immediate care to patients.
- Perform thorough assessments of patients conditions and establish accurate diagnoses.
- Administer appropriate treatments and medications following established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document all medical interventions observations and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and staff members to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans.
- Adhere to all medical protocols guidelines and ethical standards in emergency medical practice.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Proven experience working in emergency departments or urgent care settings.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick accurate decisions in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts 6a-6p or 6p-6a
No call shifts required
Trauma Level III
Annual Volume: 48000 patients
Daily Volume: 131 patients
Backup Specialties: Internal medicine pediatrics cardiology GI OB neurology neurosurgery ENT orthopedics surgery cath lab
